Descripción

Hello everyone! Welcome to “The Grateful Artist Podcast” I’m your host, Stephanie Paige, and today’s episode is a little different. My cohost, Evan Griffith, and I took a involuntary break from the show for a week we’ve been sideline from our lives in unexpected ways. Evan will share his story in our next episode, and I’m really excited for him to do that his experience is truly powerful. But today, my husband Doug Morgano was kind enough to step in and join us. We thought the perfect word for what’s happening is “Acceptance”. Sometimes, life throws us curveballs, and all we can really do is accept what’s real, right here, right now. We’ve got so many exciting things coming up next week, we’ll share Evan’s story, and we’ll also talk about an upcoming retreat and how to create one. But for today, we’re focusing on acceptance, why it’s so vital, and how it can help us move through life’s challenges with grace. We hope you enjoy this episode. Let’s get into it. Sparks Pod - Cowboy Mouth, The Mandalorian & Willingness

Welcome to The Sparks Pod brought to you by The Grateful Artist Podcast”, where every week, we explore what sparks creativity, growth, and authentic living. I’m Stephanie Paige, an artist and writer, and I’m joined by my fantastic cohost, Evan Griffith—an extraordinary writer for creatives Today, we’re diving into a thought-provoking theme: “Willingness”. We’ll share stories and insights that reveal how embracing willingness—over rigid intentions or plans—can truly transform your work and life. As Evan will tell us, improvising can be like drumming miss a beat, and you create something new, it’s about trusting the process and being open to what arises. We’ll kick things off with a touching story about Kate, a 90-year-old friend of Evan’s, and the greatest influence in her life. I’ll riff on the difference between intentions and willingness, sharing some quotes that help clarify this idea. Then, we’ll explore Patti Smith’s story from “Just Kids” about writing “Cowboy Mouth”, and how improvisation in art and in life can be a powerful tool. Later, we’ll touch on “The Mandalorian and Grogu”, because even in wild stories, there’s a lesson about trust, patience, and openness. We’ll close with Hugh Prather’s wisdom about happiness being a present attitude, not a future goal. So, stay with us, because when we open ourselves to willingness, magic happens. Let’s get into it!

Sparks Pod by The Grateful Artist Podcast- Don’t Be A B!tch!

Welcome to The Sparks Pod, brought to you by “The Grateful Artist Podcast.” Every week, Evan Griffith, my partner in this journey, and I share moments of inspiration, perspective, and bold ideas that keep us creating and growing. We love exploring what sparks us, whether it’s a new philosophy, a story of unexpected connection, or a simple practice that shifts everything. In this episode, we’ll riff on Evan’s new mantra from an interview on the Joe Rogan Podcast -"Don’t Be A Bitch" and how that powerful message can transform our relationships and outlooks on life. I’ll share some cool self-care techniques from “Are You Made At Me? By Meg Joshphson, a book I recently devoured on the road, that help us stay kind and centered amidst chaos. We also dive into a story about a surprising call from a man in his sixties struggling financially, showing how reaching out and connecting can turn things around. And, of course, we’ll explore the importance of continuous action, like Joe Vitale says, “Never stop, never give up.” It’s all about sending that energy into the universe and trusting everything will fall into place. Thanks for hanging with us — we love sharing these sparks with you. And here’s a question for you: what’s sparking you today? Send us your stories or questions at Evan@EvanGriffithNotes.com—we’d love to feature them. And don’t forget to follow us on Instagram @TheGratefulArtistPodcast — because life is most beautiful when we create and connect in love and joy. Have a magical week, and we’re rooting for you!
