SYMBOLS OF THE SAVIOR IN THE BAPTISTRY

President Russell M. Nelson said, "The temple is ‘a house of learning, There we are taught in the Master’s way. His way differs from modes of others. His way is ancient and rich with symbolism." Most of us recognize symbolism in the covenants we make and even on the outer spaces of temples, but do know what the symbols of the Savior in the baptistry are? I WAS BORN TO RESCUE

Two different experiences, two different sides of the world, and yet, both were born to rescue those on the other side of the veil. Dennis Umukoro is a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, from Delta Nigeria, and has had many revelatory experiences that have led him to saving many of his own ancestors. Debra Bowen a member of the Church in the United States, also had promptings,  in different ways then Dennis, but no less effective in saving her family on the other side of the veil. Both experiences are remarkable in their own right and each one led to promises being made sure for many in the Spirit World. Brad Wilcox, in this video from BYU Education, 2021, describes the roles of the Tribes of Israel in preparation for the return of Jesus Christ. He teaches that no matter what tribe you are blessed to be from in your patriarchal blessing , each has a special role to play. Brother Wilcox also teaches about what it means to have a birthright and the responsibilities that come from that inherited role. FATHER LEHI AT THE MEXICO CITY TEMPLE

The Mexico City temple dedication was special as it was the first one dedicated in Mexico. President Spencer W. Kimball testified about a house of the Lord coming to the people of Mexico long before it was ever planned or built. In a dedicatory session, Gordon B. Hinckley, commented that there were many from other side of the veil present and that one of them was "Father Lehi". This among many other miraculous experiences, marked the dedication of the Mexico City temple as one that would never be forgotten.
