They’re all looking ahead to the band’s summer tour, which will take them to Dollywood, Nashville, and New Orleans, among other spots. At UNC’s Eshelman School of Pharmacy, assistant professor Brianna Vickerman (also a recent Carolina grad) recently won a grant from NC Innovation [https://www.ncinnovation.org/awarded-projects] for an exciting new innovation in cancer treatment: she’s developing a way to activate cancer drugs only in specific spots in the body, by triggering them with light.
