TX Irish Twins Diaries
April is Autism Acceptance Month, a time to move beyond awareness and toward understanding, inclusion, and respect for autistic individuals and their families. In these two episodes, we share Becki's personal journey as a mother navigating her son's autism diagnosis and what life has looked like since. Our goal is not to define autism, but to honor lived experiences, amplify understanding, and encourage compassion. In Episode 1 of this two-part special, Becki share's her personal experience of discovering her son is autistic, navigating the diagnosis process, and processing the emotional impact - while increasing understanding and empathy around autism. We want to share a gentle reminder that today's episode focuses on autism awareness and includes personal experiences related to a child's autism diagnosis. While we won't be discussing anything graphic, this topic can be emotional or personal for many families and individua.ls We invite you to listen in a way that feels right for you - whether that's taking breaks, stepping away, or simply taking a deep breath if you need it. This conversations rooted in love, learning, and lived experiences - not medical advice or assumptions. Every autism journey is different, and this episode reflects one family's story. Our hope is to create understanding, awareness, and connection - and to remind anyone listening that they are not alone.
