Portada del episodio Episode: 16 Knowing the Word vs Understanding the Word

Descripción

This episode is about the difference between knowing God’s Word and actually understanding it. Sometimes we hear things that sound biblical, repeat things we’ve always heard, or even read scripture without truly comprehending what God is saying. But just because something sounds good does not mean it is sound doctrine. In this episode, I talk about how God has been showing me that knowing the Word is one thing, but understanding it is another. I share a few examples of common phrases people say that are not actually biblical in the way we use them, and I also talk about how a sermon and a song completely shifted my understanding of the power of God’s breath. This is your reminder not to just repeat what you heard, not to just read to say you read, but to truly study the Word, seek understanding, and let God reveal His truth to you for yourself. Read it. Understand it. Apply it.

Episode 21: Learning To Surrender Joyfully

Lately, God has been teaching me what it truly means to surrender… not reluctantly, not out of obligation, but joyfully. In this episode, I talk about: • transition seasons • letting go of control • learning to use the tools God already gave me • community, prayer, and vulnerability • grieving old versions of yourself • allowing yourself to receive love and support • trusting God even when the process hurts • and learning that life really is better with Him I’ve been realizing that sometimes we ask God for change while resisting the very things He’s trying to use to change us. And honestly? This episode reminded me that I don’t have to carry everything alone. If you’re currently in a season of surrender, stretching, transition, healing, or rebuilding… I pray this episode encourages you. God is still good here too 🤍

Episode 20: Things Don't Change Unless You Change

Lately God has been teaching me that healing, growth, and transition require consistency. Things don’t change unless things change. I realized I was asking God why I still felt stuck in transition… while avoiding some of the very things He was asking me to do. But more than anything, God has been showing me that I do not have to perform to be loved. I can come to Him messy. Tired. Broken. Confused. Emotional. And still be fully loved and accepted. For so long, I thought I needed to earn love by showing up “right.” But God has been teaching me that His love is not performance-based. This episode talks about: • transition and spiritual growth • perseverance • fear of rejection • being misunderstood • learning to stop performing • allowing God to be your safe place • and continuing to do the work even when it’s hard If you are in a season of stretching, rebuilding, or learning how to truly rest in God’s love… this is for you 🤍

Episode 19: Be Present Where God Has You

This episode is really just about being present. Lately, God has been showing me how much of my life is actually answered prayer… even if it doesn’t look like what I thought it would look like. And when I really slowed down long enough to reflect, I realized how far God has brought me. In this episode, I talk about: * learning to appreciate where I am * growing downward before outward * receiving the love of God as a daughter * not comparing seasons of your life * and learning to be content in the “now” God has really been teaching me how to stop wishing my life away and instead trust Him in the present moment. Because even here… God is still God. If you’ve been struggling with comparison, impatience, feeling behind, or questioning where God is in your life right now… this episode is for you 🤍

Episode 18: Grace Doesn't Always Look Like What You Want It To

Lately, God has been correcting me and showing me the difference between His grace and the consequences of my choices. We hear people say things like “don’t let God’s grace run out”… but I don’t believe His grace runs out. I believe His grace is abundant. However, that doesn’t mean we are exempt from consequences. In this episode, I talk about: * The difference between grace and consequences * What true repentance actually looks like * Why “I’m not there yet” can become an excuse * The danger of knowing God but not truly walking with Him * And what it really means to honor God over your flesh This is not about fear… it’s about reverence. God is gracious. God is merciful. But we still have a responsibility to grow, obey, and turn away from what we know isn’t right. If you’ve been feeling convicted, stretched, or called higher… this is for you.
