Hey there lovely people 🥰! I come back! On todays episode, I had a beautiful chat with my special guest: Siya. We spoke about Leo and Scorpio pairings, and found out that we were recording this episode on her birthday! Conversations between young Africans who want mental health change. We spoke about what it’s really like being in our early twenties, what we were sold in media growing up versus the actual realities of modern day South Africa. Social media portrays this perfect life that most young People of Colour aren’t living. It’s all pretence. Regrets in your early twenties, and living according to someone else’s script. Living according to what your parents want for you. How does our generation, Gen Z, differ from our older generation? African spirituality from a generation Z perspective. Two African girls talking about calling back to African spirituality. Unlearning religion. Religion makes African spirituality seem evil. Mental health, depression, we should take more active steps to combat what’s happening. Everything Everywhere All at Once movie review. What a stellar movie! Themes, production, filmmaking, storyline, everything was chef’s kiss. You tolerate so many things when love is present. The lack of Sotho representation on television 😞 I also give an easy way to make your own vision board 💗💗 #socialmedia #africanspirituality #mentalhealthinafrica #everythingeverywhereallatonce #blackgirlspirituality #333onsundaypod

episode self cav is the best love 🥺🌸😪🤌🏾🦋. artwork

self cav is the best love 🥺🌸😪🤌🏾🦋.

Hello! All about self love. A hot topic in many circles and I thought I would talk about it from the opinion of an early twenties Black South African creative. I talk about exercise, consistency and discipline. I talk a bit about music, Ari Lennox, Dreamville, Baby Rose and Chance the Rapper. I love to break down mainstream media topics down to the mind of a young person who faces these issues in a social media age. Self love is free guys, but capitalism has convinced us otherwise. Self-love is a muscle you develop over time. An interruption in the middle from my Sotho brother, love him loads 💕. Mindset is everything. When you’re alone, how do you feel about yourself? Energy does not lie. Going into hermit mode, spending time alone has taught me to embrace myself. Self-love is universal, but it’s also specific to each individual. How do you self love as an introvert, and as an extrovert, the differences between them. Loving yourself heightens, elevates your vibration. Doing things that please you, your spirit, your soul, cause you to seek outside validation less. You end up validating yourself, and that’s always such a blessing. How does Instagram affect our self image as young Black people? Does it make us more anxious? You know where the danger is? This episode is imperfect, full of flaws. Accepting our internal ‘flaws’, our silent battles, that is self love. Self love is rough for a patch, but it ends up being worth it. What I learnt when I was at art school, with the art kids. Self-love helps you transmute Black trauma into Black joy. Chance the Rapper fell off after Coloring Book 😪? Loving yourself causes you to love others which causes you to love yourself.
