Healthcare is evolving, and while specialist care belongs with the specialists, there are many services that are genuinely safe and effective enough to warrant a community-based model of care, provided we get the pathways and the partnerships right. In Episode 3, Sabina Syed and Julian Wenman - Senior Operations Manager in oncology and haematology at the University Hospitals Tees (Group) Cancer Institute - discuss how it’s possible to realise the NHS 10-Year Health Plan’s major ambition to shift care from hospitals into the heart of communities.  Sharing some fantastic real-world examples of where this is already working, including collaborations with pharmaceutical partners, they explore how the NHS of the future could be local, connected and innovative.
