Balancing your omega-6 fatty acids and omega-3 fatty acids can be complicated, but it's crucial for your health. Let me break it down for you. Let's talk about how to balance your ratio of omega-fatty acids and why you need to do this in the first place. The average person's diet is way too high in omega-6 fatty acids and too low in omega-3 fatty acids. The ideal ratio of omega-6 fatty acids to omega-3 fatty acids is 1:1. However, the average ratio of these fatty acids for Americans is about 20:1. If you're deficient in omega-3 fatty acids, you could have cognitive issues or problems with your eyes. Men may also experience problems with low testosterone and fertility. Having high omega-6 fatty acids and low omega-3 fatty acids may potentially lead to: • Stiff red blood cells • Thick blood • Obesity (visceral fat) • Insulin resistance or diabetes • Inflammation • Thrombus • Vasospasm • Vasoconstriction The best and easiest way to balance your omega-6 to omega-3 ratio is to increase your omega-3 fatty acids. Adding omega-3 fatty acids to your diet is even more important than removing the omega-6 fatty acids. Both fish oil and cod liver oil are great sources of omega-3 fatty acids. But, cod liver oil also has vitamin D and vitamin A. Algae is an excellent vegan source of omega-3 fatty acids. Here are a few more ways to balance this ratio: • Replace your salad dressing with olive oil • Avoid fried foods from restaurants • Consume fatty fish 2 to 3 times per week • Consume grass-fed beef • Limit the amount of chicken and grain-fed animal products you consume • Consume walnuts Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 57, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Revitalize Your Stem Cells

Did you know you can boost stem cell production without the help of a clinic or surgical procedure? In this video, I’ll show you how to stimulate stem cells naturally with 7 safe stem cell therapy alternatives. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) [https://open.spotify.com/episode/4oKZ046rIAE3zwxDb06ZaO] 0:00 Introduction: What are stem cells? 0:15 Stem cell benefits 0:47 Fasting and stem cells 1:37 Exercise as a stem cell booster 3:54 Green tea for stem cell regeneration 4:41 Vitamin D to regenerate stem cells 5:58 Barriers to stem cell regeneration 6:11 Cancer stem cells The Benefits of Cold Water Immersion: ▶️    • The Benefits Of Cold Water Immersion for Y...   ▶️    • Transform Your Health with Cold Showers – ...   ▶️    • The 7 Benefits of a Cold Shower The Benefits of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy: ▶️    • The Benefits of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy ... A stem cell is a reserve cell that can become any cell you need. Stem cell research has shown positive results for people with fibrosis of the heart, liver fibrosis, and damaged brain cells. Stem cells can also be beneficial for the following: •Stimulating new cartilage in the joints •Autoimmune conditions •Rejuvenating skin cells •Cancer Here's how to keep your stem cell population at the highest level. 1. Fasting Prolonged fasting can boost stem cells naturally. If you can fast for 72 hours, you can boost stem cell production primarily for the gastrointestinal tract, brain, and immune system. 2. Exercise Intense exercise is the best way to boost stem cells for your muscles and brain. Exercise also stimulates BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), which allows you to make new nerve and brain cells. 3. Deep sleep Sleep increases melatonin, which stimulates stem cell regeneration in your brain. Sleep also increases immune and cardiovascular stem cells. 4. Green tea Green tea contains the phytonutrient EGCG, which has potent anti-inflammatory properties and can increase stem cells for your brain and liver. 5. Omega-3 fatty acids Decreasing inflammation can boost stem cell production. Omega-3 fatty acids are anti-inflammatory and can increase stem cells for your bones, cartilage, brain, and skin. 6. Vitamin D Vitamin D and the sun help maintain blood stem cells that are involved with the immune system. Vitamin D increases new immune cells, prevents the exhaustion of stem cells, and can even increase longevity. 7. Cold therapy The cold stimulates brown fat stem cells, which support muscle repair and the mitochondria, decrease inflammation, and increase blood flow. Barriers to stem cell production include: •Inflammation •Stress •Lack of sleep •Junk food •Alcohol •Smoking •Pollution Our normal cells have at least 50 genes that help cope with dehydration. Cancer cells have none of these genes. This is why dry fasting may be destructive to cancer cells. --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices [https://megaphone.fm/adchoices]

episode Ashwagandha: The Adaptogen Supercharged artwork

Ashwagandha: The Adaptogen Supercharged

Lower cortisol naturally with ashwagandha, the powerful adaptogen for anxiety and stress. In this video, we’ll discuss the health benefits of ashwagandha, the ultimate adaptogen. Find out how to use ashwagandha for better sleep, stress relief, mental clarity, and more! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) [https://open.spotify.com/episode/4oKZ046rIAE3zwxDb06ZaO] 0:00 Introduction: Ashwagandha benefits 1:06 How ashwagandha works 1:48 Ashwagandha review compared to other herbal remedies 3:42 How ashwagandha can lower cortisol naturally 4:03 More health benefits of ashwagandha 5:49 How to take ashwagandha Ashwagandha is a potent adaptogen that helps you adapt to stress. It’s a cortisol modulator, so if your cortisol levels are too high or too low, ashwagandha can help bring them to normal levels. Ashwagandha benefits include the following: •Helps lower cortisol naturally •Supports sleep •Improves exercise endurance •Anti-inflammatory •Boosts testosterone •Protects the brain against stress •Supports hormones, including the thyroid hormone •Anti-cancer properties Siberian ginseng is beneficial for mood and physical endurance but does not compare to ashwagandha’s hormone-balancing effects. Panax ginseng is also helpful for exercise endurance and cognitive function, but ashwagandha is better at dealing with stress-related anxiety, especially when dealing with a chronic problem. Rhodiola is good for stamina and is a natural energy booster, but doesn’t reduce stress or anxiety. Holy basil helps calm the body and improves sleep, but ashwagandha has more benefits. Matcha root improves energy and sexual function, but ashwagandha has these benefits plus more stress-reducing benefits. Reishi mushrooms improve cognitive and immune function and also provide a calming effect, but unlike ashwagandha, they don’t affect cortisol. Ashwagandha has a comprehensive cortisol regulation effect and can help people with chronic cortisol stimulation and the problems associated with it. Ashwagandha is best taken in the evening with your last meal. It’s also beneficial to cycle your ashwagandha use. Try using it for 6 weeks at a time, followed by a 2-week break. --- Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices [https://megaphone.fm/adchoices]
