Last weekend, I injured myself quite badly. Not by weight training hard or doing muddy obstacle courses. No, something much less intense (explained in the episode!) But the injury has made me think about an analogy I always use in coaching, and the injury is a prime example of why. You can learn a big lesson from this with your own health and fitness. My Death Row Workout Would Be...

Enjoying your training is massively important in my opinion. If you're going to work hard, but yourself through pain, and show up when you don't feel like it - make sure there's an element of enjoyment. After last week's Tough Mudder, I had a think about how important the enjoyment aspect is to encourage going back for me. After raising the topic with a friend over coffee, we got onto the subject of... "What would your last ever workout be if you were on death row?"
