insPAWed
What started as one woman and her dog in New York City turned into a nationwide movement built on connection, community, and joy. In this episode of insPAWed, we sit down with Susan Godwin, founder of PupScouts Org, to share how her first dog, Tasha, became the inspiration behind a 501(c)(3) organization with troops across the country. When Susan moved to NYC, Tasha was more than a pet. She was her companion, her sense of safety, and her constant in a brand new chapter of life. The two of them explored the city together, traveled side by side, and built a bond that would shape everything that came next. One small moment changed it all. A friend showed Susan a dog-sized Brownie uniform, and a simple idea sparked. What if dogs had their own scouting experience… earning badges, attending meetings, and bringing people together? That idea turned into PupScouts. Today, PupScouts continues to grow with a mission to help the dog community and make humans smile. Tasha, the original National Troop Leader, may be gone, but her legacy lives on through Timothy, Tabitha, and every PupScout across the country. In this conversation with host Cyndie Morgan and co-host Nigel, we talk about how one dog can change your life, how ideas turn into impact, and how love continues long after loss.
