Consult Yourself First

Welcome back to Intervention! In this episode, Lauren reflects on the importance of self-awareness in your 20s and how deeply it affects our interactions with others. Without a foundation of self-awareness, we are more likely to internalize others’ projections and allow ourselves to be guided by people and advice that don’t align with our vision as much as we think they do. By stepping back and trying to view ourselves and others more objectively, we create space for growth and for recognizing when someone else’s remarks, both to us or about us, aren’t an accurate depiction of us at all.
