For years, we known her as the sarcastic street tough Sam Puckett on iCarly and Sam and Cat. However, behind the scenes she was going through the worst times of her life. In 2022 Jennette McCurdy released her memoir "I'm Glad My Mom Died" and gave us an insight into her life growing up in the public eye but more specifically on her relationship with her mother. The title caused some controversy because of the belief of never saying anything bad about our parents. Jennette's mother was hardly a good mother or person, but Jennette did a great job of writing her with some nuance and understanding while not invalidating herself in the process.
