Ambition is an action seen everywhere—whether it is the pursuit of money, fame, or glory. It is often considered the key ingredient to reaching one’s goals. But that is the world’s standard, right? What happens when a follower of Christ introduces ambition into their mission for God? Unavoidably, human ambition leads us to turn our backs on God. In Scripture, whenever personal ambition was mixed with God’s mission, destruction and failure followed. God’s mission is for His glory; our mission is to be vessels for Him. Faith Is Not Compromised

We often compromise our faith; yet 'compromise' means to weaken, damage, or make something unsafe. Faith in God and the word 'compromise' do not belong together, for faith in God is not meant to be weakened, damaged, or made unsafe. Rather, we make ourselves weak. Be Cleansed

When we look at nature, we see that even animals have an instinct to wash and be clean. However, they can only stay clean if a source of purification is provided—which, in their case, is water. For the follower of Christ, being truly involved in God’s mission carries great weight. At the moment we thrash against His divine plan, the ripples of our choices do not stop with us; they pull at everyone within our reach.
