Learning to Love

Perhaps the most difficult thing in the whole wide world is to learn how to love.  Many internal changes need to be made for it to even be possible.  The good news is,  our Lord Jesus has given us everything needed for us to learn this.   This sermon, based on John 14:1-2,  begins by exposing an apparently scriptural conflict between  salvation by grace and Jesus' call to keep the commandments;  it resolves in a clear exposition of how God works to help us love.

"I am the way, the truth, and the life"   is perhaps one of the most important things Jesus has ever said.  This sermon explores  why this is so.

Those Who Steal Sheep

Jesus, the good shepherd, tells of those who sneak into the sheepfold to steal his sheep.  But the sheep won't follow them,  because they don't know their voices.  They know only the voice of Jesus, their true shepherd.    This sermon, based on John 10:1-10, Describes what sheep steeler looks like,  and how Sheep can learn to know the voice of their true shepherd.

Who will roll way the Stone?

The women feared that the stone that sealed Jesus' grave would prevent them from attending to him,  but an angel would take care of that.    We all have our own stones that prevent us from living the new life we have in Christ. They must be removed.

This Sermon revolves around one word,   A word that Jesus quite purposely said: finished  (John 19:30).    Much has been made over the original Greek word behind it: "tetelestai".   For almost a century  preachers across nearly all of christendom have wrongly been extolling the virtues of "tetelestai" emphasizing "Paid in full" as its true meaning.   This sermon is an attempt to take back the true meaning of the word which is actually more profound.
