Fighting against storms and currents, falling in the water, staring in the depths, floating, swimming, and becoming a fish - it's a wide-ranging metaphor of our relationship to water and what we allow in our conscious awareness. Becoming buoyant is an aspect of resilience - knowing the water you're in and holding the complexity of its depths without fear of being consumed by them - and it's a big part of the Dimension Approach. Confused? Good! We're normally averse to the state of being confused, but in order to learn, adapt, and re-orient, we have to be able to tolerate confusion. When you're confused you can either identify with it (quick trip to madness), or if you let go of it there's more of an existential nothingness that starts to arise. But in the face of that existential nothingness there is a you that still exists - letting consciousness move through the mind and tolerating the confusion promotes exciting healing and growth.
