Attachment Styles: How We Love & Connect

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2517127/fan_mail/new] In this episode of The Empowerment Equation, we continue our journey from the inner child and turn our attention toward attachment styles the often unseen patterns that shape how we connect, love, and respond in relationships. Together, we explore the four main attachment styles: secure, anxious, avoidant, and disorganized, and how these patterns are formed through early experiences of safety, consistency, and emotional connection. More importantly, we look at how these patterns continue to show up in adulthood especially in moments of closeness, stress, and vulnerability. This conversation is not about labeling yourself or fitting into a category. It’s about developing awareness, curiosity, and compassion for the ways you’ve learned to protect yourself in relationships. I also share a personal reflection on my own attachment patterns, including the challenges that can arise around asking for help and allowing support from others. It’s a reminder that awareness is not about perfection it’s about understanding, and from that understanding, creating choice and change. As you listen, you’ll be invited to reflect on your own relational patterns and gently consider where they may have originated, and how they continue to shape your connection to yourself and others. This episode is a reminder that attachment styles are not a life sentence they are a starting point for awareness, healing, and growth. Because sometimes, the most important secure base we build… is within ourselves.

Meeting your Inner Child

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2517127/fan_mail/new] In this episode, we explore the concept of the inner child and how early experiences shape the way we respond, connect, and navigate life today. So many of the patterns we carry aren’t random they are adaptations we developed early on in response to our environment, relationships, and what we learned about safety, love, and belonging. Through gentle reflection and awareness, this conversation invites you to slow down and notice those patterns without judgment. Instead of asking what’s wrong with you, we begin to ask what happened for you and what part of you is still carrying those earlier experiences. As awareness grows, so does choice, and in that space we begin to respond to ourselves with more compassion, understanding, and intention.
