Description

In honor of World Storytelling Day, I have a story to present. This is a story about Nanabush, the Spirit, who likes to get into trouble. He is the grandson of Nokomis and son of the West Wind, or the Sun. In telling this story, with permission from the author's son, I sought to find the true origin of Nanabush. The author had spent time relearning the stories on her reserve. I have also found an article stating that Nanabush is the Anishinaabe (Ojibway) sacred teacher and trickster. There are 10 stories written by Dr. Daphne Odjig, all as entertaining as this one! https://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/daphne-odjig [https://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/daphne-odjig] My blog:Child of COVID-19 [https://remona2017.blogspot.com/]

Dàjiā Hǎo - A Continuation of Merci D'Avoir Choisi Une Bonne Santé Mentale

In today’s very special Mother’s Day Episode #10, we welcome back our guest, Chris from Episode #1 to follow up with his health and wellness journey. In the well-told story from Episode #1, we learned of Chris’ health decline starting when his father fell ill. He became an instant caregiver resulting in his own stress-related and mental health issues, including panic attacks, Bell's Palsy, insomnia, TMD (temporomandibular disorder), and finally the horror of gastroesophageal reflux disease, with dysphagia. Now, 9 months later, we ask Chris to provide an update of what he considers to be self-care and how he has learned to manage his stress, going forward. While the quiz game and rapid fire questions may have given us a small insight into how Chris is doing today, we also offer up some holistic options, alternative to medication and self-medication, including box breathing, CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy), soft fascination, interoceptive exposure, bilateral stimulation, high-sensory, low-thought, and mammalian dive reflex. If you have ever felt "checked out" or overwhelmed, keep this episode saved so that you can try some of these tools when you are having trouble feeling grounded or emotionally regulated. Consistency is key and you never know which method could help you in a time of need. Please join us in this continuation of our journey to choose good mental health for Episode #10! @oneofeightbillion_1o8b Remona2017.blogspot.com

Je Ne Sais Quoi

During episode #9, we finally take the opportunity to interview my best friend from childhood. Michelle from Saskatchewan has been in my life during the good times and the bad times, but then I moved away, and we lost touch. Michelle and I reconnect in this special and heartwarming episode to talk about how she stays healthy through those long, cold winters in Saskatchewan. Self-care is a big theme in this episode, as Michelle has very busy days; between working full-time as an educational assistant and making sure that her mom's needs are met, she also has a lot of emotional load to take on from dating Rory and dealing with the grief of her father's sudden death. I hope you enjoy listening, as we get vulnerable with words that so often go unsaid. If you can get through the girl chat, there is a big reveal at the end of the episode. Don't forget to submit your answer for the poll, as we are curious about where you stand on the use of AI. This episode was powered by Gemini AI. remona2017.blogspot.com [remona2017.blogspot.com]

Love Versus Abuse

In today's episode #8, we have guest Chaya Garcia, The Epic Love Expert. As the host of The 100% Podcast, she illuminates through her interviews, that we are all 100% effed up and still, simultaneously, 100% lovable! Chaya is the founder of the growing #LoveLighter movement, a movement for women to learn how to light up their own love and choose a partner based on attracting someone who will only add to her light! She is an expert on all things relationships: first dates, narcissism, dating with intention, and saving marriages before the first date. She is on a mission to revolutionize marriage and relationship dynamics by bringing people back home to themselves first. We had a great conversation of how hard it is to educate women on what it means to be loved and to consider yourself to be loveable. Many times, women end up in abusive relationships because they don't believe that they are worthy of love. Chaya offers a 6-month Masterclass for singles and married women with weekly live coaching calls to learn how to love yourself again. She has written multiple (unpublished) books and offers further advise on her YouTube channel: @EpicLoveExpertYou can book a call with Chaya here: www.connectwithchaya.com [www.connectwithchaya.com] P.S.
