What if your energy isn’t random… it’s rhythmic? In this episode of 17 Minutes, Robyn sits down with Arielle Cohen, founder of Moonsync Botanicals, for a conversation about betting on yourself, building a product-based business, cycle syncing, tea rituals, and learning how to live and work with your body instead of constantly trying to override it. Arielle shares the story behind Moonsync, how learning about her own menstrual cycle changed the way she understood her energy, symptoms, creativity, and self-trust, and why she felt called to create cycle-syncing herbal tea blends for women. Together, Robyn and Arielle talk about the luteal phase, the inner critic, the four inner seasons, and how female entrepreneurs can begin planning their lives and businesses with more awareness, compassion, and support. Because maybe the goal isn’t to show up the exact same way every single day. Maybe the goal is to know where you are, listen to what your body is telling you, and build a life that actually makes room for your seasons. IN THIS EPISODE, WE DIVE INTO Arielle’s journey as the founder of Moonsync Botanicals What it looked like for Arielle to bet on herself during a challenging season of life Why some ideas feel different — and how Arielle knew Moonsync was the one Arielle’s personal experience with an unpredictable cycle, low energy, bloating, fatigue, and inflammation What cycle syncing is and why it can be more accessible than the wellness world sometimes makes it feel Why simply paying attention to your cycle can change your relationship with your body The luteal phase, progesterone, estrogen dips, and why confidence can feel lower before your period How Robyn started recognizing her own monthly pattern of self-doubt in business The four inner seasons of the menstrual cycle Why the luteal phase can bring forward the inner critic — and how to listen without immediately acting on it How tea can become a small but powerful ritual of nourishment and reconnection The vision behind Moonsync, including future mocktail infusions, elixir powders, salves, bath salts, and ritual products How female entrepreneurs can work with their cycle when life, kids, meetings, and deadlines don’t stop Why rest, food, support, and adjusted expectations can help prevent burnout CHAPTERS 00:00 Introduction 00:37 Meet Arielle Cohen 01:51 Betting on Yourself 06:43 Arielle's Cycle Syncing Journey 11:01 The Luteal Phase & Your Hormones 16:02 Your Four Inner Seasons 21:31 Tea as a Ritual 28:35 Moonsync's Vision & Future Products 35:23 Cycle-Aware Living for Entrepreneurs 43:56 Where to Find Moonsync QUOTES YOU CAN PULL “We’re not the same all the time. And I feel that our products should reflect that.” “Life would become smoother and just feel better if we didn’t hold ourselves to this exact same pedestal every single day.” “It’s not in our heads. There is a hormonal shift that takes place that’s significant.” “That voice that you’re talking about that’s coming through during your luteal phase… that’s where your inner critic steps out.” “The inner critic does have wisdom for us. She’s kind of a B-word, but she does have some wisdom to give us.” “I just kind of kept reminding myself of why I’m doing this.” “This idea… was so true to the core of who I was.” “Even just paying attention to where you are, knowing where you are every day, and reflecting on how you feel, I think can help.” “This is the way that you avoid burnout.” “Still show up for yourself always, but maybe just dial down your expectations a little bit.” TRY THIS AFTER YOU LISTEN — 2-MINUTE CYCLE-AWARE BUSINESS CHECK ✔️ Ask yourself: Where am I expecting myself to have the exact same energy every day? When do I naturally feel more outward, social, creative, or energized? When do I naturally feel more inward, reflective, tired, or sensitive? Where do I push through instead of giving myself the support I actually need? Then notice the pattern: If you’re in a more outward, high-energy phase, use that energy for connection, visibility, recording, creating, and momentum. If you’re in a more inward or lower-energy phase, use that time for organizing, tying up loose ends, reflecting, resting, editing, and preparing for what’s next. If your inner critic gets loud before your period, don’t rush to fix your whole life or burn your business down. Listen. Take notes. Rest with it. And wait for your spring energy to come back before making big moves. Your body is not the problem. It might be giving you the data you’ve been missing.
