Who is Sitting on the Throne?

What does it actually mean to be filled with the Holy Spirit? The apostles certainly knew the answer to that question. In this episode, we continue our look at the early chapters of Acts and explore a simple biblical answer to a question that can often feel confusing or mysterious. Using passages from Colossians, Ephesians, Hebrews, Psalms, and Romans, we discuss how the Christian life begins by faith and continues the exact same way. We’ll look at why Paul compares being filled with the Spirit to being under the influence of wine, how sin can leave us spiritually depleted, and a practical daily pathway of confession, forgiveness, repentance, and surrender that helps keep Christ in His rightful place and be filled with the Holy Spirit daily. The question isn’t whether something or someone is competing for your attention. The question is: who is sitting on the throne of your heart?
