Putting PTSD in Your PAST

Then you can be considered as suffering from PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. PTSD is defined as a disorder in which a person has difficulty recovering after experiencing or witnessing a terrifying event. If you find this is true for you like I do, know that this is the very nature of PTSD. The effects of a traumatizing experience can last months or years, with triggers that can bring back memories of the trauma accompanied by intense emotional and physical reactions in just seconds. But the Good news is God delivers, vindicates and gives joy, and because He does, we can lie down and sleep in peace. Psalm 4:1, 7-8.

Sing a New Song

One of my favorite vocalists is Adele. Her voice is unbelievable and her lyrics seem to touch the very points of my life and one of the things I like to do with some of my absolute favorite songs is put them on repeat so they play multiple times and I get to hear the same vocals, the same lyrics, the same melody over and over and over. But it occurred to me that many of us do just that, sing songs according to our mood, situation, or preference and that’s perfectly fine. But sometimes we may need a change.
