All His Church
Day 23 of All His Church begins with Psalm 62’s quiet confidence—“for God alone my soul waits in silence”—and moves into a deeply personal reflection on friendship, fear, and hope. Chris shares the stories of “Marc with a c” and “Mark with a k,” two lifelong friends he loves dearly and has been praying for ever since he sensed Jesus tell him they were his particular assignment for evangelization. From there, he names the shared Christian anguish over loved ones who don’t believe. Instead of offering easy answers, the episode leans into 1 Peter 1:3–5 and the language of hope from the Catechism and J. I. Packer to explore how Christian hope can stretch beyond our own salvation toward the salvation of our friends and family. This is a vulnerable, ecumenical meditation on praying for the people we love most, trusting that the Father’s house has many rooms—and that our small, faithful prayers and friendships might be part of how God fills them.
