Beskrivelse

Welcome to a new episode of Alumni Diaries, the official podcast from the Radio Club, DAU! In this episode, our host Prayag Kachhia (2nd Year, DAU & Radio Club Core Member) sits down with esteemed alumnus Yognik Baghel, a 2018 batch IRS officer. Currently posted as a Deputy Director in the Enforcement Directorate (Chandigarh Zone), Yognik brings a diverse and high-stakes professional background. He shares his experience heading the Anti Smuggling Unit in West Bengal and running Joint Operations with agencies like R&AW, IB, BSF, and Naval Intelligence. As an ITC undergrad, he also discusses how his technical expertise aids him in the world of financial investigation and intelligence. But the conversation goes much deeper. Yognik shares the "far more interesting" personal side of his life as a seeker and a Yogi. He opens up about his practice of Kriya Yoga, his studies of Western philosophy and Indian Darshan, and the wisdom he has humbly learned from exploring "the realm of the infinite." Join us for a fascinating conversation that covers: * Fun stories and memories from his campus life at DAU. * The journey from a technical engineering background to the civil services. * Insights into the life and work of an IRS officer (including a chat about espionage!). * Deep dives into philosophy, spirituality, and Kriya Yoga. * Invaluable reading recommendations. ---------------------------------------- đŸŽ™ïž ABOUT THE PODCAST Alumni Diaries is a series by the Radio Club, DAU, where we reconnect with our university's alumni to learn from their incredible journeys, experiences, and wisdom. ---------------------------------------- ⏰ TIMESTAMPS (0:00) Introduction (You can add more timestamps here as you edit the video, e.g.:) (2:15) Life at DAU: Fun Memories (10:30) Switching from Engineering to Civil Services (25:10) A Day in the Life of an IRS Officer (40:00) Exploring Philosophy & Kriya Yoga (55:00) Book Recommendations ---------------------------------------- CREDITS Host: Prayag Kachhia Video Editor: Tarang Hirapara Thumbnail and Production Support: Kirtan Chaudhary A heartfelt thanks to the Alumni Association and Professor Bharani Kollipara for their constant support and for helping us connect with our esteemed alumni.
