The Uffizi Gallery

The UffiziGallery is one of the most important museums in the world, located in Florence.Founded in 1584 by Francesco I de' Medici, it houses an extraordinarycollection of Renaissance art, including paintings by Botticelli, Leonardo daVinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael. Its architecture was designed by GiorgioVasari.

The Ponte Vecchio (old bridge)

The PonteVecchio is one of Florence's most iconic bridges, famous for its medieval shopsoverlooking the Arno River. Built in 1345, it is known for being the onlyFlorentine bridge not destroyed during World War II.

The Pitti Palace

PalazzoPitti, located in the Oltrarno district of Florence, is an imposing Renaissancepalace that houses numerous museums and art galleries. Built in 1458 for thebanker Luca Pitti, it was purchased by the Medici in 1549 and became the mainresidence of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany. Inside, you'll find the PalatineGallery, the Gallery of Modern Art, the Museum of Fashion and Costume, theMuseum of Porcelain, and the Museum of Carriages. The palace also serves as theentrance to the Boboli Gardens, one of the most important Italian-stylegardens.

The National Bargello Museum

TheNational Museum of the Bargello, located in the ancient palace of the Captainof the People, houses the world's most important collection of ItalianRenaissance sculpture. Among the exhibited works are masterpieces by Donatello,Michelangelo, and Benvenuto Cellini.

The Loggia dei Lanzi

TheLoggia dei Lanzi is one of the most famous structures in Piazza della Signoriain Florence. Built between 1376 and 1382, it is an example of Gothicarchitecture. It houses some of the most famous sculptures in Florence,including "Perseus" by Benvenuto Cellini and "Rape of the SabineWomen" by Giambologna. The loggia is open to the public and offers aspectacular view of the square.
