That’s why you’re invited to Easter at Awakening Church — a space to pause, breathe, and experience real hope — even when life feels heavy. Easter is the story of hope breaking through the darkest moment — because God refuses to leave us where we are. Before anyone knew He was alive, Jesus didn’t show up to the powerful or the “important” — He showed up to someone overlooked, hurting, and full of questions. In the garden, we see humanity fully exposed — physically, emotionally, spiritually — and fully safe in love. What would it look like to recover that kind of fearless intimacy with God and with each other?

Everything God made was good — except for one thing. Before sin entered the world, before anything broke, God declared it “not good” for humanity to be alone. That ache we feel when we’re disconnected? It’s not a weakness — it’s a warning light. We were created for connection. And in a world of crowded calendars and shallow scrolling, rediscovering how to be truly known is one of the most important things we can do.

Real love isn’t programmed — it’s chosen. In the middle of the garden, God placed two trees. One offered life; the other, the illusion of control. The story of these trees reveals the foundation for every relationship — including our relationship with God. Love can’t exist without choice. And the choices we make either lead us deeper into connection or further into isolation.
