In this episode of Backwoods Bible Study, we dive into one of the most important truths in all of Scripture — salvation. What does it really mean to be saved? Is it something we earn, or is it a gift? We open up the Bible and walk through the truth about sin, its consequences, and the incredible grace God offers through Jesus Christ. The Bible makes it clear that we are all sinners: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23 (KJV) Because of sin, there is a penalty: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” — Romans 6:23 (KJV) But God, in His love, made a way for us: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 (KJV) Salvation is not something we can earn by our own works: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” — Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV) And the invitation is open to all who believe: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” — Romans 10:9 (KJV) This episode is all about understanding the Gospel in a real, simple, and honest way — just like we’d talk about it sitting out in the backwoods. 📖 Whether you're new to the faith or have been walking with God for years, this conversation is for you.
