Danise Sugita is a nonprofit leader with over 15 years of experience in community engagement, DEIstrategy, and workforce development. She has led inclusive recruitment efforts, developed statewide toolkits, and built equity-centered partnerships. As a formerRecruitment & Outreach Director for BAYAC AmeriCorps, she placed over 100 members annually in service roles across the Bay Area. A UC Berkeley graduate, Danise is a passionate advocate for systems change, coalition-building, anduplifting underrepresented voices through storytelling and policy reform.

Coach Lee Hopkins (He/Him/His) is a Social Connections Coach who helps late-diagnosed autistic adults build meaningful relationships without masking who they are. Asthe founder of Patterns of Possibility LLC, he combines lived experience and practical strategies to guide clients toward social confidence, healthy boundaries, and real connection. Hugh Flynn

Hugh Flynn is an author, playwright, journalist, actor, and former healthcare executive. A passionate advocate for people with disabilities and underserved communities. Hugh played a vital role in outreach and services during the AIDS crisis of the1990s and has long fought for access to reproductive health services. His work has earned widespread recognition, including multiple citations for excellence from the Western Publications Association. His award-winning plays have beenproduced across the United States and in Canada. SOMETHING SPECIAL BE marks his first memoir. He resides in Southern California with his husband.
