Before You Bloom
In this episode of Before You Bloom, I’m joined by Claire Steinke for a deeply honest conversation about cancer, fertility, motherhood, and rebuilding life after unimaginable uncertainty. At just 29 years old, Claire was diagnosed with uterine cancer and suddenly forced to confront one of her greatest fears, the possibility that she may never be able to have children. Faced with the recommendation of a radical hysterectomy, Claire instead chose to undergo an experimental treatment in the hope of preserving her fertility, despite there being no guarantees it would work. In this conversation, Claire opens up about navigating cancer treatment while simultaneously pursuing fertility treatment on her own, the loneliness that came with that experience, and the emotional toll of carrying so much uncertainty at once. We also talk about her difficult pregnancy, giving birth to her son at just 26 weeks, and the mental and emotional impact of spending weeks beside her baby in the special care nursery while trying to process everything her body and mind had endured over the previous 18 months. Claire’s story is one of extraordinary strength, hope, and perseverance! 💗 Thank you so much for being here on this adventure with me! 💗- Hayley xo ✨ Find us on Instagram: @beforeyoubloom [https://www.instagram.com/beforeyoubloom/?hl=en]✨ 🎧⭐ Follow us on :Apple Podcasts [https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/before-you-bloom/id1756021293] 🎧⭐ Follow us on :Spotify [https://open.spotify.com/show/7IkDCmK17det8xBgTFWB54?si=Js2HYQVsTg6nfP5W4_-BFQ] 💗 Visit our : Website [https://www.beforeyoubloom.com/] The Before You Bloom Podcast is recorded on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation.
