What is Awareness?

With growing trends in mindfulness, and awareness of a multitude of topics (environmental, societal, etc), what really is awareness? Is there another, more fundamental meaning beyond how it is commonly defined? This episode unveils properties of awareness beyond the scientific definition - from the mental to the experiential - and sheds light on the role of mindfulness; to become aware of thought to go beyond it.
