Welcome to an ESS 25 podcast special with Stephen Jephcote from South Central Ambulance Service. Stephen heads the mental health team for his Trust. Emphasis that patients are not prisoners – ambulance conveyance is most appropriate.3. Crews should understand their legal roles and responsibilities under the Mental Health Act.4. Staff wellbeing matters – access support via EAP, TASC, or NHS Practitioner Health.13. Core message: look after yourself so you can look after others, and provide the right care in the right place.
