Sackett Sr. Officer Sackett was murdered in the line of duty on May 22, 1970, after responding to a false emergency call that was later revealed to be a trap. More than three decades passed before there was accountability in the case. Now, the man convicted in Officer Sackett’s murder is once again seeking parole.
