Why Victims Stay In Abusive Relationships

Beskrivelse

Today we're answering a heavier question: why do victims stay in or return to abusive relationships? While there are many other reasons aside from the ones that I brought up, I hope that the ones I listed will help nourish a sense of compassion for those struggling with abuse. This is an emotionally complex issue and every survivor has their own personal reasons for staying or returning. Most of our information that comes on this topic is centered around Domestic Violence relationships. I tried to give the perspective of those from other forms of abuse. Be it from a friend, family member, or partner. Particularly if it was a situation that is not talked about often (such as those with a male victim, a female perpetrator, or a Queer relationship). Hopefully raising this dialogue will give voice to the voiceless, rather than shooting them down further. Please keep any comment sections respectful and kind, be considerate of the experiences of others. If you have a story to share, I am more than happy to listen, support, and provide you with resources to heal, just email me at brokentobreathtaking@gmail.com.
