Carbon Farming Odyssey
Welcome to the third episode of Carbon Farming Odyssey. In this episode, Piotr Jurga (IUNG-PIB) talks with Yannick Delvaux from Soil Capital Ltd., about how carbon farming and sustainability programmes work in practice and how farmers can be supported through data-driven approaches. Drawing on his experience working closely with farmers, Yannick explains why the quality of field-level data is essential for reliable models and meaningful insights. The conversation highlights the gap between policy-driven payment schemes and on-farm reality, and explores why sustainability must be measured beyond carbon, including soil health, water quality, biodiversity, and socio-economic well-being. ---------------------------------- The podcast series Carbon Farming Odyssey is produced by the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation – State Research Institute (IUNG-PIB), Poland, within the Carbon Farming CE project, supported by the Interreg Central Europe Programme with co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund.
