in today's episode, Sigi dives into how chicano culture is not influential to this era of Chicano, Mexican, and latino people. In episode 5, Sigi gives account of 10 Mexican women who took the head director of the GYN department of USC hospital to court for wrongfully giving them tubal ligation during labor. Sigi looks into eugenics programs in that were prevalent in the 1900s, and into laws that came about after this news broke to the public.
