City On A Hill Sermons
In this sermon, the message focuses on 2 Corinthians 5:6-11 and the believer's calling to live with eternity in view. While we walk by faith and not by sight, our purpose is not simply to make it through life, but to please Christ in everything we do. The Apostle Paul reminds us that every believer will one day stand before the judgment seat of Christ, where our works and service will be examined. Because what we do today has eternal significance, we are called to live intentionally, faithfully, and with a desire to honor the Lord. The sermon emphasizes that there are opportunities to please God that only exist while we are present in these earthly bodies. Faith, endurance through trials, serving others, and boldly sharing the gospel are privileges that belong to this life alone. While salvation is secured through Christ, our lives can still be lived with eternal purpose or squandered through neglect. This message encourages believers to make every day count, knowing that God sees every act of faithfulness and will never forget the labor of love offered in His name.
