Collaborative Psychiatry
This is our introductory mini-course at Collaborative Psychiatry. In this module we discuss pharmacologic approaches to managing anxiety when an SSRI or other antidepressant is not cutting it. Learning Objectives By the end of this mini-course, you should be able to: 1) Identify the differences between symptoms and sensations of anxiety and Anxiety Disorders. 2) List the 6 medications most commonly used to augment medications like SSRIs and SNRIs in the treatment of anxiety. 3) Describe an approach to selection and use of these medications in different clinical situations.
