You know when I was younger I knew little to nothing about how things actually worked. I just knew things like the refrigerator kept things cold. But now I have some understanding of how that actually works. When I was younger I knew that the car took me places, but now I kind of grasp the concept of how it does it. In today's message Pastor Ben wants you to know that true life is found in Jesus Christ. Even if you don't get all of the how it all works, know this, Jesus loves you and when you believe in Him you will have eternal life. A parting goodbye can be a sorrowful thing. When we know we won't see someone we love for a long time or even possibly ever again, it can be difficult to bid them farewell. That's the intensity that we see when we look at Jesus and His disciples in the upper room during the Last Supper. When someone who's dear to our hearts passes away, we feel a need to honor the memory of that person. We often celebrate the life of a loved one in a memorial service. Through singing and storytelling and even looking at pictures of them. A car without a driver isn't a very useful thing. Yeah I know, they have self-driving cars now. But even those need operators really. But that's beside the point. What I'm trying to get to is that when the car has someone like you behind the wheel then it'll take you to all kinds of places.
