362 | Garage Decluttering Series Part 3-Process & Protect Phase

➡️ To join my free 2-day workshop click HERE [https://declutteryourchaos.com/workshop]. Hey Guys, You've already done the hardest part. You made the decisions. You created the piles. You moved through the garage without avoiding it. Now this episode is where everything leaves—and where you make sure it doesn't all come back. WHAT THIS EPISODE IS The completion phase of your garage decluttering. You'll: * Organize and execute all remaining tasks * Remove everything from your garage efficiently * Reset the space so it actually feels different * Create boundaries so it stays that way THE GOAL Not just to declutter… But to finish. PROCESS STEP 1: ORGANIZE YOUR TASKS Take everything from: * Your task list * Your post-its And sort them into three columns: * Errands (drop-offs, returns, donation runs) * Computer / Phone (research, calls, scheduling) * At Home (install, hang, fix, put away properly) This simplifies everything so you don't get stuck or overwhelmed. PROCESS STEP 2: SCHEDULE IT Put your tasks into your calendar. * When are you running errands? * When are you making calls? * When are you doing things at home? If it's not scheduled, it lingers. PROCESS STEP 3: GET IT OUT You already decided what everything is. Now you move it. 1. Bag Up * Put items into bags, bins, or boxes * Keep post-its attached with destinations * Place items in your car or near the exit 2. Clean Up * Sweep, wipe down, clear surfaces * Remove trash * Reset the space This is where it shifts from "project" to "usable space." 3. Show Up * Take a photo or video of your finished garage * Acknowledge the result * Capture the transformation XO, Amber ➡️ To join my free 2-day workshop click HERE [https://declutteryourchaos.com/workshop]. In this first part of the garage series—you're setting yourself up so you actually follow through. Because most people don't fail at decluttering… They fail at starting with structure. This episode walks you through exactly how to prepare your time, your space, and your mindset so when you step into your garage, you don't get overwhelmed, distracted, or stuck. YOUR ACTION STEPS Before moving on to Part 2 (Purge), complete the following: * Choose 4 specific days to work on your garage * Block off 2–3 hours per day based on your energy * Consider logistics - when will you not be disturbed or derailed * Divide your garage into 4 zones (ex: left wall, right wall, back wall, center) * Gather your supplies: * Task list (paper + pen) * Post-its * Sharpie * Timer * Prepare your energy * Set your expectations * Hold yourself accountable DECLUTTER YOUR CHAOS RESOURCES: ➡️ To join my free 2-day workshop click HERE [https://declutteryourchaos.com/workshop]. ➡️ If you would like more information about my guided decluttering program email me at amber@declutteryourchaos.com [amber@declutteryourchaos.com] or click HERE [https://declutteryourchaos.com/]. ➡️ If you are interested in my self-guided decluttering course, click HERE [https://declutteryourchaos.thrivecart.com/the-8-hour-decluttering-plan/]. ➡️ Download my free decluttering planner here: https://declutteryourchaos.com/decluttering-planner [https://declutteryourchaos.com/decluttering-planner] Let's connect: 📸 Instagram: @declutteryourchaos [https://instagram.com/declutteryourchaos] 🛑 Disclaimer: I am not a licensed therapist, counselor, or mental health professional.
