He also shares the academic challenges of balancing student-athlete life at Yale.

This week, Pierre McGuire met with Colgate men's hockey sophomore forward Simone Dadiè. A native of the picturesque ski town of Cortina, Italy. Dadiè details his journey from playing in the Dolomites to attending an academy in Austria, eventually making the jump to North American juniors in the NAHL and BCHL. The interview highlights his recruitment by Coach Harder to Colgate University, his connection to Italian legend and Colgate alum Thomas Larkin, and his perspective on the growing hockey culture in Italy ahead of the upcoming Olympics. Dadiè also shares insights on his "Pops" nickname and the academic rigors of being an Economics major.

Decision Makers: Ted Drury, Harvard

In this episode of Decision Makers, Pierre McGuire sits down with Harvard legend and Beanpot Hall of Famer Teddy Drury. The conversation follows Drury’s journey from his Connecticut roots to the hallowed ice of the Boston Garden, where he reflects on playing under the legendary Billy Cleary and the "offense-first" philosophy at Harvard. Drury shares personal stories from his two Olympic appearances in 1992 and 1994, describing the "unrivaled" pride of representing Team USA and the surreal experience of facing off against Wayne Gretzky. They also share stories of working together when both Pierre and Ted were in Hartford and Ottawa. Beyond the rink, Drury discusses the importance of education, the transition to a successful career in finance, and the legacy of a hockey family that includes his brother, Rangers GM Chris Drury, and his son, Jack Drury.
