Well if you joined us for the last episode, episode 8, you will know that Event Horizon 2019 has already took place back in the middle of June. The theme of this year’s conference was #MakeYourMove. So in this the penultimate episode of the current series, we’re continuing to focus a companies who have already made a move. Event Horizon 2019 has just taken place. The theme of this year’s conference was #MakeYourMove. If we’re going to have a hope of dealing with issues like #ClimateChange, then we have to accelerate the pace of the Energy Transition. One key takeaway from this year’s event is that blockchain enabled solutions that help accelerate the Energy Transition are viable today and are being commercially deployed. So for the final few episodes in this series, we’re going to hear from a number of Energy Companies who have already Made a Move. In the past two episodes, we have heard from Maria McKavanagh at Verv and Dave Marion from Power on what they see out there today as they build their businesses in the energy industry and how they see blockchain as an enabling technology for their solutions. And we wanted to hear from such visionaries as, given the dose of realism we’ve been dishing out so far, some people might be starting to wonder if there was any future for blockchain in the energy industry. There certainly is … And for episode 7, I’d like to welcome JoJo Hubbard, Co-Founder and CEO of Electron.

In the series so far, we looked at the overall state of blockchain in the Energy Industry, the technology, the impact of Energy Policy & Regulation and many of the elephants in the room got called out.
