One should immediately start for Sanyas ashram and leave the kingdom to search for peace and oneness with the Divine Lord Krishna. Dhritarashtra takes the advice and sets off for the Himalayas along with his wife and Vidura. Srimad Bhagavatam Canto 1 Chapter 13 explains why one has to do what the ashrama deems fit for the age and time of life. This sage advice is given to Dhritarashtra by Vidura and asked to leave the kingdom and go away.
