The plan was to visit the famous Mega Mall, one of the largest in Asia, but the rain had other ideas. As we stepped into the city’s chaos, we quickly realized why malls are a sanctuary here—escaping either the extreme heat or relentless rain. The day took a sharp turn, though, when we saw a stray puppy with a broken leg on the street. ✎ Seeing the dog struggling, we couldn’t just walk by. We bought him some food and tried to catch him, but it was tough with the rain and his fear of people. With help from a security team and after a lot of effort, we finally managed to get him into a carrier. We named him Mega, and I couldn’t stop thinking about how young he was and how hard his life must’ve been. Taking him to the animal hospital was a small step, but it felt like the right one. ✎ Mega’s now at the vet, warm, safe, and finally cared for. The x-rays revealed the extent of his injuries, and he’s starting treatments to get better. Last night was probably the first time in his life he slept indoors and dry. It’s hard not to worry about him, but knowing he’s safe gives some peace.
