For the final episode of season one, all the seniors, Vinisha, Shannen, Pranet, and Anisha say their farewells as they are heading off to college. They all look back at their favorite memories of EAC. Shannen is going into filmmaking, where she hopes to bring environmentalism into her documentaries at Rutgers. Vinisha is heading to TCNJ, where she hopes to bring environmental awareness into her future career. Anisha is going to Indiana University, where she is majoring in supply chain management and business sustainability, incorporating the environmental aspects of how businesses run. Pranet is majoring in environmental engineering at UT Austin, which improves environmental problems using technology. Environmental Health with Dr. Alexis Mraz

In this episode, Vanisha and Shannen discuss environmental health and epidemiology with a special guest, TCNJ professor Dr. Mraz. Epidemiology is the study of infectious diseases, this includes the study of the cause of disease, identifies the people who are at risk, determining how to control or stop the spread or prevent it from happening again. Also, they reflected on sustainable development/goals where Dr. Mraz explains how open defecation affects human health and community health. 3D Printing (Plastic Use, Biodegradability)

This episode features Vinisha and Shannen inquiring about 3D printing and its biodegradable and environmental impact. The special interviewee, Steve Hrubes who is the makerspace coordinator and librarian at the Monroe Township Library. 3D printing takes digital objects and makes it physical using 3D modeling software. The 3D modeling solution ranges from easy to use to way more complicated. A fused deposition model uses a spool of plastic which is fed through a tube into a motor. At the end of the motor is a brass nozzle which heats up the plastic to 250 degrees Celsius. There are still some unresolved problems to 3D printing including recycling issues, design inaccuracies, and copyright issues. Types of Diets and Their Effects on the Environment w/ Special Guest Host Pranet Commar

This episode features the guest host Pranet Commar. Vinisha and Pranet discuss various diets' impact on the environment. The highest deterring factor to reduce meat consumption is the deliciousness of meat, least was people who have little concern for climate change. The highest encouraging factors included conserving earth’s resources, least was the alternative plant-based meats. Because of erosion and weather patterns, agricultural farming can increase the plant biodiversity, and nutrients within the soil, but requires pesticides. Meat production requires lots of clean water, which is scarce in some areas, so these dry regions grow crops instead. These water withdrawals increase salinity and decrease the productivity of plants. Food production increases with the population, resulting in the decline of land availability. Trees are cut down to make room for livestock farms, meat industry futhers deforestation with soil erosion. We have to limit food loss, but it is sometimes inevitable on farms, and because of cosmetic imperfections and misjudging our food needs. Sustainable diets include vegetarians, lacto vegetarians, pesco pollo vegetarians, pescatarians, flexitarians and vegans. Your dietary needs meet your nutritional needs, your individual needs based on whatever diet you follow and religious needs. Dietary changes could significantly reduce carbon emission and free up land.
