The fleshly self is so powerful making it so difficult to live in the will of God. How can we follow Jesus Christ to show that we are truly Christ’s disciples? We need to learn how to live by the Spirit and be led by the Spirit. Following Jesus to remain faithful to finish well requires the Spirit's direction. The Holy Spirit is our guide in pursuit of God's purpose and pleasure. We rely on the Spirit's power to resist the fleshly desire as we allow ourselves to be acted upon. 1. Follow the Spirit 2. Life-Formation In the Holy Spirit (2Cor 3:16-18) | Rev. Herman Moldez, May 17, 2026 We are all being shaped by the world we live in. Our thoughts and behaviors are influenced by pattern of this world so that the institutional church is no different for its surrounding culture rather than of Christ. If we live by the Holy Spirit, we will be slowly formed to be like Christ, being redeemed to becoming fully human in the image of God. Life is vulnerable to forces shaping the person's being where character, good or bad, is formed. Human values are influenced by people we interact with, places where we live, and patterns of this world. Many are unaware of being developed within. The Holy Spirit works to form our inner being in the image of God to become like Jesus Christ. Spiritual life is growing in Christlikeness through spiritual formation of the Spirit. In 2 Cor. 3: 16-18, the Holy Spirit creates a process to develop Christlikeness. We don't grow in Christlikeness if we project an appearance that is not authentic with who we really are. The Holy Spirit creates freedom to be ourselves in the presence of God. We are free to enter in our naked self, without covering up, to seek God in the "naked now", aware and attentive of God's holy presence. We live freely with unveiled faces. The Holy Spirit guides us to focus on God's glory. We "contemplate the Lord's glory", His beautiful character. In beholding God, we slowly become like Him. We contemplate by withdrawing in silence and solitude to be illumined by God's light to purify the darkness of our hearts. Learning to live authentically in searching presence of the Holy Spirit and to seek God to know Him in His beauty, we experience formation in Christlikeness. Spiritual formation is a slow process, sustained by grace and sanctified by the Holy Spirit. How will you create more sacred spaces to allow the Holy Spirit to form every part of your being become like Jesus Christ?

Living In Fullness of the Spirit (Eph 5:15-21) | Rev. Herman Moldez, May 10, 2026 Life in the Spirit is to be controlled by the Holy Spirit which the NT calls fullness of the Spirit. What controls our lives define the way we live together as Christ’s community. To be filled with the Spirit is shown in humility, harmony, and holiness overflowing in worship. One of the major struggles in Christian life is self-control. The self-weakened by the flesh, becomes a false self. We celebrate who we are, but the flesh draws us away from Christ. So, we find worldly pleasure irresistible. The gift of the Spirit empowers believers to live for the pleasure of God. In Eph 5:15-20 Paul exhorted believers to "be filled with the Spirit" instead of being drunk with wine to be controlled by alcohol. It does not need to be wine. If we live by the false self, power, possession, and prestige control us. Good things such as eating and drinking become lustful desires. Hot temper may lead to road rage. Human talents can make people proud. We are powerless to live the way of Christ apart from the Holy Spirit. To be filled with the Holy Spirit is to be controlled by the Spirit's power to say no to the false self especially because "the days are evil". How do we live the Spirit's fullness? Develop godly wisdom (v.16). We are highly informed, especially with Al. We need to be wise because not all information fed into communication platforms are godly. Even Christians are easily fooled by fake and false news because "they don't see things as they are, but as they are (Richard Rohr). Wisdom comes from the Holy Spirit by making us humble to learn from our failures. The Holy Spirit illumines our mind to discern God's will (17). Spiritual discernment enables us to celebrate what is good without being controlled by it. It guides to say no if yes yields to lust. We will know that the popular opinion is not necessarily the pleasure of God. The false self is narcissist. Life in the Spirit desires grateful worship. The role of the Holy Spirit is to honor the Lord Jesus Christ to glorify God. Worship overflows in speaking to one another, singing praises, to celebrate the Lord's goodness. We rejoice instead of resenting on life (vv. 19-20). What drives your life: the Holy Spirit or the False Self? What dominates yourself, created in the image of God, will be seen in the way you live.

The Gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:14-18,33) | Ptr. Rein Arlegui, May 3, 2026 Jesus’ precious gift is the promised Holy Spirit given to all people who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The New Testament uses different metaphors to explain the power and presence of the Holy Spirit to assure us of eternal salvation as well as to apply and actualize the work of Christ in daily lives of obeying Christ. 1. Grasp the Reality of the Gift, vv. 14-15 2. Appreciate the Diversity of the Gift, vv. 16-18 3. Display the Authenticity of the Gift, v. 33 The gift of the Holy Spirit is real, diverse, and authentic. At Pentecost, Peter reminds us that the Spirit's coming is no illusion but the reality of God at work. He shows that this gift is poured out on all people, revealing the diversity of God's grace across generations and callings. And he points to the risen Christ, exalted at the right hand of God. Let us live with the assurance that the Holy Spirit is with us, empowering us to witness, uniting us in fellowship, and making His presence visible as He transforms the lives of all who believe.

Jesus Christ is Coming Back (1Cor 15:24-28) | Ptr. Rein Arlegui, April 26 Everyday we see the destructive powers of evil. We feel helpless as the dragon roams and rages with fury. But this is only for a while. Jesus is coming back to rule and restore the kingdom by putting all of God’s enemies under his feet. We live in hope for the return of the King of kings. 1, Seek God's Righteousness v. 24 2. Share the Resurrection Hope vv. 25-26 3. Serve for God's Kingdom vv. 27-28 Jesus will come back to destroy evil, ensuring that no power stands against God. He will defeat death, giving us unshakable hope in the resurrection. And He will deliver the kingdom to the Father, so that God may be all in all. What hope does Christ's return give you in this time of uncertainty, and how can that hope lead you to trust Him more?
