Young Mormon Men are often told that a mission is the best two years of their life, but mine was certainly not, and in fact, it was hell. My mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was partially responsible for my leaving the Church and loosing my faith in God.

Today I will be talking about Jack Chick and his eponymously named tracts. This episode will focus mostly on one of the worst and most vile of the tracts, "Lisa" which is the story of a horrible couple who are sexually abusing their daughter but are forgiven by Jesus after reciting a magic spell (the sinners prayer) and it is as if they never did it and they will go to heaven. In this episode I will be going through the first part of the book of Leviticus in the Bible to determine if the god of the Old Testament, based on his actions in the text, is a good god and a god worth worshipping if he were real. So far it isn't looking good for god and, as we learn in Leviticus, god is prideful, vengeful, sexist and loves his people to suffer by burning up all of their best stuff because he loves the way it smells. In this episode I review what was once one of my favorite films, The Testaments of One Fold and One Shepard, which is basically just a Mormon propaganda film. In the Journal of Discourses, Brigham Young said a bunch of racist things about Native Americans and talked about how petty theft should be dealt with by murdering the thief.
