Beskrivelse

Written and produced by Ronald Allen Bell and G-Dawg Trading~ Rock-a-Bye Recidivist (The Judges’ Lullaby – a dark parody of “Rock-a-bye Baby”) [Chorus] Rock-a-bye monster, on the treetop, When the mercy wind blows, the cradle will rock. When the bough of justice breaks and then falls, Cry will the victims now pinned to the wall. [Verse 1] Rock-a-bye felon, don’t you dare cry, The judge believes you’ve learned to fly. Gavel falls lightly, robes soft and deep— “Time served is enough,” he whispers so sweet. [Verse 2] When the wind of leniency starts to blow, The cradle swings open, and you're free to go. Back on the prowl in the dark of the night, While the judge dreams in peace in his castle on high. [Bridge] They rock the cradle year after year, Trading lives for the lie that “change is sincere.” Revolving door spins, the system’s so kind— More broken families that we've left behind. [Final Chorus – slower, darker] Rock-a-bye baby, on the treetop, Evil exist in its wake we are caught. When the bough breaks and the cradle will fall, Into the darkness where demons they crawl.
