Beskrivelse

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to sit down with a living legend, Sijo James W. DeMile. DeMile is the founder of the Wing Chun Do system of martial arts, a practical self-defense system based on scientific and physiological truths, designed to end a fight in less than two seconds. At 81 years old, DeMile's sharp, analytical mind is still working toward growing the Wing Chun Do system, specifically its facets of personal development beyond physical techniques. DeMile is more interested in the mind. If that's not enough, he trained extensively with Bruce Lee, and helped Lee develop many of the skills which made him undeniable. Our conversation is full of truth, wisdom, and insight into the human condition. I really think you'll enjoy this, whether you are into martial arts or not. Let's get after it!

Adam Ayan — Mastering Engineer, Gateway Mastering Studios

Adam Ayan is a renowned audio mastering engineer and the winner of numerous Grammys (33 to date!) and TEC awards for his work; he has dozens of #1 singles and albums to his credit.   The protege of legendary mastering engineer Bob Ludwig, Ayan has mastered thousands (THOUSANDS!) of recordings for some of the most popular artists of our time, including, but not limited to...Barbra Streisand, The Bee Gees, Bob Marley, Brian Setzer, Brian Wilson, Bruce Springsteen, Carrie Underwood, Counting Crows, Def Leppard, Dream Theater, Disturbed, Doobie Brothers, Faith Hill, Foo Fighters, Gloria Estefan, Hunter Hayes, Incubus, John Legend, Katy Perry, Keith Urban, Kelly Clarkson, Kenny Rogers, Lana Del Rey, LeAnn Rimes, Linkin Park, Luke Bryan, Luis Fonsi, Madonna, Martina McBride, Megadeth, Neil Sedaka, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Paul McCartney, Pearl Jam, Phish, Queen, Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire, Rolling Stones, Rufus Wainwright, Rush, Sara Evans, Sarah McLachlan, Smashing Pumpkins, Sugarland, Tim McGraw, Trace Adkins, Vince Gill, Wynonna, and Zac Brown Band.   Ayan is recognized as a thought leader in the mastering community, giving speeches, performing TED talks, and sitting on panel daises regarding current happenings and trends in the mastering field, as well as the music industry at large. He is also an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Southern Maine's School of Music since 2000, creating the curriculum for and teaching classes in digital audio and music production.   I've had the pleasure of working with Adam when I produced a record in 2013, and the results blew me away — he was able to address issues in my mixes at the mastering level which I didn't realize were possible, all while being available and eager to provide positive and constructive feedback, which helped me grow leaps and bounds as a producer and mixing engineer.   I can't tell you how excited I am to have the opportunity to have Adam tell his stories and share his wisdom with you, and how grateful I am for him carving out time from his busy schedule to do so   Let's get after it!
