Beskrivelse

If you don’t like what you see in the mirror, you can change that. But not in the way you’ve probably been told. In this episode, I’m breaking down one of the most important, and often overlooked, steps in improving your body image during your weight loss journey, awareness. Not surface-level awareness where you just say, “I don’t like what I see.” I’m talking about going deeper. Learning how to observe your thoughts instead of immediately reacting to them. Asking yourself real questions like, what am I actually feeling right now, and why? Because most of us don’t stop there. We jump straight into criticism. We pick ourselves apart. And we reinforce the same beliefs that we’ve been carrying for years. This episode is about interrupting that pattern. We talk about how your body image has been shaped over time, not just by your own thoughts, but by years of messaging from industries designed to make you feel like you’re not enough. And we’re not doing that anymore. Instead, we’re shifting into building a new identity, one where you choose how you see yourself first, and then reinforce that through practice. Because that’s what this is. Practice. You’re not trying to become perfect. You’re learning how to move between your emotions and logic in a way that actually supports you instead of working against you. And when you start to appreciate who you see in the mirror, everything else, your habits, your consistency, your lifestyle, becomes easier to build and sustain. episode July 2026 Body Image Trends: Where the Conversation Is Heading Next cover

July 2026 Body Image Trends: Where the Conversation Is Heading Next

If you want to see the complete Body Image Trends Report for July 2026, including all of the topics covered throughout this series, visit: https://yourlevelfitness.com/body-image/body-image-trends-july-2026 In this final installment of the Body Image Trends Report for July 2026, I explore where the conversation around body image is heading and why more people are moving beyond appearance based goals toward deeper conversations about mental health, self perception, and long term self appreciation. As the body image conversation continues to evolve, we're seeing a growing focus on how we think about ourselves instead of simply how we look. Rather than chasing another physical transformation, more people are beginning to recognize that lasting confidence is built by improving the relationship they have with themselves from the inside out. In this episode, we discuss: • Why body image is increasingly becoming part of the mental health conversation. • How self perception is becoming more important than appearance alone. • The growing connection between food noise and body image. • Why intrusive thoughts about our bodies deserve more attention. • How long term self appreciation is replacing short term appearance goals. I also share why changing the way you see yourself cannot be solved by weight loss alone. Lasting confidence comes from building a healthier relationship with who you are, appreciating yourself through every stage of life, and creating habits that support both your physical and emotional well being. If you've been working to improve your body image, rebuild your confidence, or create a healthier relationship with yourself beyond the mirror, this episode will help you think differently about what long term progress can really look like. episode The Strange Emotional Side Of Attention After Weight Loss cover

The Strange Emotional Side Of Attention After Weight Loss

Are people treating you differently since you’ve lost weight? That can be one of the strangest and most emotional parts of navigating body image changes during and after GLP-1 weight loss. In this episode, we talk about the emotional adjustment that can happen when people begin interacting with you differently, whether that’s more attention from strangers, different energy from people you’ve known for years, or simply noticing changes in how the world responds to you. We also dive into: Learning how to process new attention Reprogramming how you see yourself Why body image work takes time Navigating discomfort with compliments and visibility Emotional adjustments after major body changes Setting social and emotional boundaries Patience and self-awareness during transformation Why therapy and emotional support can help during this process This episode also explores how weight loss and body image changes can impact the way you move through the world socially, emotionally, and mentally, especially when your internal identity hasn’t fully caught up with your external changes yet. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, confused, uncomfortable, or even emotionally conflicted by how people are responding to you after weight loss, this conversation is for you. episode The Fear Of Regaining Weight After GLP-1 Weight Loss cover

The Fear Of Regaining Weight After GLP-1 Weight Loss

How much do you fear the weight coming back? That fear is becoming one of the biggest emotional struggles for people navigating GLP-1 weight loss and body image changes. In this episode, we dive into the emotional side of weight loss that many people in the fitness industry still avoid talking about. We talk about why losing weight and learning to appreciate yourself are two very different things, why your brain takes time to catch up with your body, and how body image work requires a conscious effort instead of just physical change alone. This episode also explores: Body noise and negative self-talk Fear of regaining weight Learning to trust yourself again Why all-or-nothing thinking creates emotional spirals The pressure to maintain weight loss Why sustainable structure matters long term Building a forever active lifestyle based on your preferences Taking breaks from structure without guilt Developing emotional awareness during and after weight loss If you’ve been struggling with body image, fear, or uncertainty while navigating GLP-1 weight loss, this episode is designed to remind you that you’re going to figure this out. episode The Confidence Shift That Has Nothing to Do With the Number on the Scale cover

The Confidence Shift That Has Nothing to Do With the Number on the Scale

If you’re waiting to hit a certain weight before you finally feel confident, comfortable, or happy with yourself, this episode is for you. Because here’s the reality. Losing weight does not automatically fix the relationship you have with yourself. In this episode, I’m talking about why so many people still struggle with body image even after making progress with weight loss, exercise, or GLP-1 medications. I break down the difference between seeing physical progress and actually appreciating who you see in the mirror. I also share one of the simplest but most powerful mindset exercises I’ve found for improving body image and self-confidence over time, mirror work. Not from a toxic positivity perspective, but from a practical, repeatable approach that helps you start redirecting the negative thoughts that have been running in the background for years. We also talk about: • Why confidence is something you can build • How body image impacts eating and exercise behaviors • The connection between self-talk and long-term consistency • Why sustainable fitness has to include an inside/out approach • How to build a forever active lifestyle without guilt, shame, or constant mental tug-of-war Your Level Fitness Links: If you want to build your forever active lifestyle on your own: https://yourlevelfitness.com/ If you want to connect with yourself on a deeper level through the weekday journal prompts: Journal Prompt Emails https://yourlevelfitness.com/email If you want support, live streams, and deeper conversations around mindset, body image, food, and consistency: YLF Community https://yourlevelfitness.com/ylf-community

episode The Real Problem Might Not Be Food Noise, It Might Be Body Noise cover

The Real Problem Might Not Be Food Noise, It Might Be Body Noise

You lose the weight… but the thoughts about your body stay the same. That’s the conversation we need to have more openly. In this episode, I’m talking about what I call “body noise,” the constant mental and emotional chatter around how you look, how your clothes fit, how you feel in your body, and the way you see yourself in the mirror. Because for a lot of people using GLP-1 medications, quieting food noise is only one part of the process. What happens when the weight starts coming off, but you still don’t feel comfortable in your own skin? I break down the connection between food noise, body image, emotional eating, self-perception, and why so much of the fitness and weight loss industry continues to market directly to our insecurities. I also share why I believe sustainable weight management has to include an inside/out approach, not just external transformation. This episode is for anyone realizing that weight loss alone doesn’t automatically create self-acceptance.
