Good Call with Mackenzie Salmon
Rashaad Slowley (@shaadiefit) went from playing football at the highest level — Giants camp, the CFL, the whole thing — to building Do More Fitness from the ground up over the last 9 years. He's trained 60+ NFL athletes, became a Lululemon ambassador, started a run club, and now coaches everyone from pro athletes to entire families out in South Florida. In this episode we talk about what it was like walking away from football, the real side of running a fitness business, how HYROX and running changed his approach to training, what actually separates people who get results from people who don't, being a dad and leading by example, and what "Do More" really means to him at this point in his life. We get into: * His transition from football to fitness and how fast he moved on * Building Do More Fitness over the last 9 years — the highs, the lows, and the pivots * Why he walked away from training pro athletes to train families * Hybrid training, running, and what HYROX taught him * Discipline vs. motivation and the habits that keep him going * Fitness and mental health * Fatherhood, community, and leading by example * The biggest mistakes people make in the gym EVERY GREAT STORY STARTS WITH A GOOD CALL.
