Statistics felt for many like a class you took in college. Once the concepts started to be grasped, a whole world opened up and suddenly decisions became a little easier to make because there was data to backup the right move and predictions to be made.  Or maybe you were like a lot of us who didn't pass that class and moved on to an applied math course that didn't involve yucky things like numbers.....
