The “Happy Messy Mind” podcast is meant to empower and resonate with anyone who has ever dealt with the everyday struggles of a messy mind. I want this podcast to be a place anyone can go to be heard, understood and uplifted. A place of hope, motivation and safety. A place where we can discuss shameful, tabu and uncomfortable topics. Ultimately I wish that we can all share our messy life stories, laugh and cry together and find ways to be okay with what we go through, accept our messes and find happiness in who we are.

#31: How to Find Clarity (When Everything Feels Overwhelming)

Are you feeling like your mind is going 100 miles an hour ,every second of every day? Yeah I was too.  Are all your thoughts constantly going to thinking about what you should do next, what you should have done and what you could be doing? Yeah, I was too. Do you feel like you have an endless list of responsibilities and obligations that you are always behind on? Like no matter what you do, you will never catch up. You feel like you are only chasing these things out of obligation. You have somehow rewired your brain to believe that you HAVE to do all these things and you just don't know what you even want anymore, but you know that something has to change? I totally relate, I felt the same exact way not too long ago. So I created this episode in hopes that what helped me, can also help you find some mental peace, and some clarity. #30: A Small Guide to Inner Peace (4 Steps That Lead to More Happiness and Mental Peace)

In today's episode we dive into the reality of co-existing with worries, anxieties and difficult life circumstances. I share 4 steps that I have learned can help create inner peace, mental calm and happiness - even when life gets tough. Is it really possible to be happy - to create inner peace, even though we have negative feelings and situations in our lives? YES!  At least that's what I've discovered and truly believe. We will all always have a "mess basket" living with us, in our minds and thoughts. The good news is that we can learn to accept our "mess baskets", manage it and not let it get in the way of our happiness. All of this and much more in this small 4 step guide to more inner peace and happiness. Have a question, feedback or just want to connect? #29: Guilt-Free Setbacks (Managing Negative Feelings When Things Go Wrong)

Wouldn’t it be nice to allow ourselves some room for imperfection? We can all be so hard on ourselves when things don’t go the way we imagined them or wished them. We blame ourselves, we feel as though we’ve failed or as though we haven’t done, or even aren’t, enough.  In this episode I wanted to like to talk us through some ways we can learn to be more gentle with ourselves, ways we can handle setbacks without feeling shameful and guilty. Wouldn’t it be nice to allow ourselves to go through setbacks, just like everybody else, and come out stronger and more self assured on the other side? When something doesn’t go the way we wanted it to, expected it to or thought it needed to, usually our first instinctive reaction is to dissect what went wrong. We often look within ourselves to find flaws or reasons that could explain why something didn’t work out for us. My purpose with this episode is to empower and inspire you to give yourself a big hug when you fall down, instead of kicking yourself when you are already hurt. It's okay to feel scared and nervous if you go through a setback. It’s okay to be disappointed when something doesn’t go right, but it is not helpful to blame or pressure yourself. #28: "What I Should Do" vs. "What I Want to Do" (Balancing Joy, Obligations and Feeling Overwhelmed)

Do you also live out most of your days feeling overwhelmed with obligation and responsibilities, leaving you little time for joys and a feeling of freedom?  Yes, me too. In fact, I think most of us continuously try to manage our lives with this heavy feeling weighing down on us and a wonder and desire for more joy and less pressure. What is it about our daily lives, about the way we’ve set up our lives that leaves us with this constricting feeling? In today's episode we dive into the balance between managing your obligations and responsibilities whilst still leaving space for things that create a feeling of freedom and joy.  We specifically talk about why we end up feeling so overwhelmed and so pressured by our daily lives and how we could possibly manage our mindset and routines differently. #27: A Comeback from Depression & Anxiety

It’s the return of the Happy Messy Mind Podcast! I’ve been longing to come back to this space, something in me just feels right at home, sharing thoughts, lessons and new perspectives. It’s a safe place I created for us to get vulnerable, to find comfort and to make connections with anyone who can relate to what we go through with our messy and beautiful minds. In today's Episode I tell you all about what the h*ll happened to me (again), how depression and anxiety got the better of me, and how I've been slowly clawing my way out of it. I share with my the main lessons I've learned and how to navigate when life throws you a major down. Have a question, feedback or just want to connect?
